What’s happening in Syria?

The on-going violence in Syria has meant that over 100,000 people and over 4,000 children have lost their lives since the beginning of the conflict. Hospitals have become under-resourced and overstretched, bursting to capacity.

The UN refugee agency says more than two million Syrians were now registered as refugees and a further 4.25 million have been displaced within Syria. Camps have become a breeding ground for preventable diseases with inadequate sanitation in overcrowded shelters. An estimated 6 million people in Syria are in need of food assistance.

Syria is suffering with no shelter, food, water, basic sanitation, clothing and more.

With winter looming, the people of Syria face harsh weather with very little clothing. Those who fled, fled with nothing, and those displaced have lost their homes and belongings. People are homeless, and facing the harsh winter with nothing to keep them warm.

What we Can do

Global Rahmah Foundation (GRF) can work with UK based organisations on the ground in Syria who distribute food parcels, medical aid, build solid shelter in refugee camps and for those displaced in the crisis. With your help, we can help children to receive the food they need, the winter coats which are in short supply and high demand.

Your brothers and sisters need you to make their lives a little easier in unthinkable and unbearable circumstances.
